Split PDF

Extract a page range or split a PDF into one file per page — in your browser.

Split PDF

This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your files never leave your device.

How to use

  1. 1Drop your PDF onto the box, or choose a file.
  2. 2Choose 'Extract a range' and type the pages you want (like '1-3, 5'), or choose 'Split into single pages'.
  3. 3Click 'Extract pages' or 'Split every page'.
  4. 4Download the result — a single PDF for a range, or one per page for a full split.

About this tool

This tool works with a PDF's pages in two ways. 'Extract a range' pulls out the pages you specify — for example "1-3, 5" — into one new PDF, in their original order. 'Split into single pages' breaks the whole document apart into one PDF per page, each downloadable on its own. Both modes run entirely in your browser with a PDF library; the document is never uploaded.

Benefits & use cases

  • Pull just the pages you need out of a long document.
  • Separate a scanned batch back into individual pages.
  • Remove a cover page or appendix by extracting everything else.
  • Share only the relevant section of a report instead of the whole file.

Frequently asked questions

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. Splitting happens entirely in your browser with a PDF library and the file never leaves your device.

How do I write a page range?

Use commas to separate pages or ranges, like '1-3, 5, 8-9'. Page numbers start at 1 and match what you'd see in a PDF viewer.

What does 'Split into single pages' give me?

One separate PDF file per page of the original document, each with its own download button.

Can I split a password-protected PDF?

No. Remove the password with the software that created it first, then split the file here.
